Marissa Alexander was convicted in Florida after firing a warning shot to keep her husband from assaulting her. She was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon and was facing up to 20 years in prison, even though no one was injured in the incident. Alexander’s case, Florida’s Stand Your Ground Law, and the apparent miscarriage of justice with heavy racial undertones is dicussed with retired FBI SSa Jim Clemente in this excerpt from the Crime Time episode.
