“The Israeli military has the right to attack Palestinian hospitals and schools in self defense if Hamas has put rocket launchers next to them, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) said last week at a local town hall, according to the Cape Cod Times.
Warren, in defending her vote to send funds to Israel in the middle of its war with Hamas, said she thinks civilian casualties are the “last thing Israel wants.”
“But when Hamas puts its rocket launchers next to hospitals, next to schools, they’re using their civilian population to protect their military assets. I’d really like Warren on domestic/economic issues but on foreign policy she is just another neo-con and that is scary. Remember LBJ’s domestic policies were undermined and starved by his stupid Vietnam shit. And that destroyed his presidency.
Could we have two presidents? One for Domestic and one for Foreign policy?
Staying within the bounds of ‘electability’? That’s NOT what I want from my leadership. I want a backbone. I want someone who will stand against the senseless wholesale slaughter of civilians, and will stand up and say: ” Fuck you if you kill children. If you have to kill small children to maintain your legitimacy, YOU AREN’T LEGITIMATE!” Apartheid doesn’t work. But we’re not talking about apartheid, we’re talking about GENOCIDE. Israel must build their walls with the solid IRONY of committing GENOCIDE against the Arab Palestinian population while arguing their legitimacy as a nation and a refuge for ethnic Jews who were ESCAPING FROM GENOCIDE. Finally, agreeing with MORALLY CORRUPT AND PUTRID thinking just so that you can look good to campaign financiers makes YOU MORALLY CORRUPT AND PUTRID. NO amount of positive change will absolve her of siding with GENOCIDE.
