Ferguson Cop Injuries Debunked – Fox News Continues Lying

In The Young Turks on YouTube by Hlarson4 Comments

“Earlier this week, Fox News reported that Darren Wilson, the Ferguson police officer who shot and killed 18-year-old unarmed Michael Brown, suffered a fractured eye socket following his confrontation with the teenager. The reporter, Hollie McKay, cited a “source close to the [police] department’s top brass” as providing that information to the network.

However, on CNN Thursday, Don Lemon reported that Wilson did not suffer a fractured or broken eye socket and was rather treated at the hospital for swelling around his face and eyes. Noting that that specific injury has not been reported by CNN, “but is making its way around other media organization,” Lemon cited a “source close to the investigation” who told CNN that Wilson’s x-rays came back negative for a fractured eye socket.

“That source says it is not true, at all, he did not have a torn eye socket,” Lemon said. “Unequivocally.”

  1. As for the conservatives/republicans/right-wingers etc. who talk about the orbital eye socket injury and other things that Brown allegedly did, they’re mentioning those things as “the possible other side of the story” to counter balance the leftist’s prejudged conclusions. Of course it’s all stupid speculation.

You accuse Hannity of mentioning the orbital eye socket injury even though he qualified it with the words “what if that turns out to be true?” which is a clear indication that he is waiting for the facts to come out. I don’t hear such qualifications being made by the rioters and the leftists.

  2. The Ferguson police apparently have body cameras–but rarely use them. Body and car cameras need to be mandtory for all police. About 1/3 of all shooting dealths nationwide involve a shooter that is not able to legally drive-more involve folks that are high on street drugs, hung over or taking prescription medications incompatible with use of a firearm. Any time there is a shooting incident that involves a police report there should be a mandatory tax screen. Police have a higher rate of alcoholism and drug abuse than the general population and should NOT be exempt from these requirements. A lot of the turmoil over this issue might be avoided with better reporting requirements. Eyewitness testimony is not as reliable as cameras and testing. There _will_ be a voter registration drive in Ferguson and the present police and city government will be replaced–but that is not enough, we need better nationwide reporting procedures in this entire area.

  3. I just finished watching your laughable episode about the Michael Brown article that “debunked” the broken orbital socket of the police officer. I laughed when you berated the online blogger about assuming facts, but ignoring the report that said that Wilson’s face was swollen. His face was swollen from being attacked. Therefore, Brown wasn’t innocent of attacking a police officer, and your show assumed Wilson of being guilty of executing this teenager. I in no way believe that Brown deserved to die, however, this entire situation is being pushed to force the races to be even more segregated than they already are. Racial atrocities happen from all sides, and it really is a terrible act, but you buffoons always displaying one side of a story in order to enrage one side for ratings should be publicly shamed.

    1. But what are you supposed to say when yet another white cop kills an unarmed black man for no real reason (in this case, for walking in the street)? You say the officer’s face was swollen from being attacked, but multiple witnesses say that it was the officer attacking Michael Brown (grabbing him by the throat, pulling him toward the vehicle, firing his weapon). And yet another unarmed black man ended up dead– the first of two such incidents here in St. Louis in less than a week. This sort of thing is becoming an epidemic, if it already isn’t, and no one’s supposed to talk about it out of fear of, what, making white people even more racist?

White cops are killing unarmed black men for little or no reason, with no real consequences whatsoever, and it does not “happen from all sides.” Something needs to be done about it. And that starts with recognizing it and calling it out.
