The Young Turks has officially reached TWO BILLION views on YouTube! We couldn’t have done it without the greatest fan community the internet has ever seen. Pat yourselves on the back, TYT Army, you’ve earned it! Cenk Uygur, Ben Mankiewicz (What The Flick?!), and Ana Kasparian (The Point) host The Young Turks. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.

  1. I only found this show a few months ago. Ana gets on my nerves on occasion but love the whole crew. Thank you for giving time to important stories!
Cynthia Giles, old white , liberal atheist…. I feel alone much of the time in Alabama. You guys are my peeps.

  2. I don’t think 2 billion videos is that special, for the following reasons: they probably have a number of videos posted on the site. Therefore, each video doesn’t have to get a crazy amount of views for them to reach 2 billion; especially when TYT’s message is so popular with younger demographics who use computers and the internet much more than older generations. Secondly, they’re not taking into account people, like myself, who watch them out of amusement more than anything else, and don’t actually cognitively subscribe to their twisted, context-stripped delivery of mainstream news stories.

  3. They should never fired Cenk, MSNBC fired him mostly he criticized Israel. just like Helen Thomas and others like CNN fired 40 news personel for criticizing Israel. Israel is running the American Mass Media

    1. They fired Cenk for obvious reasons. Have you not seen him deliver a message? He’s not a journalist. He injects bias and spin into everything he says. It’s like he doesn’t even have a degree in anything related to mass communication. Well, strategic mass communication maybe. VERY strategic.

      1. Yes, he makes it very clear that he is a progressive, but I disagree with you entirely, in regards to him putting a spin on everything. I’ve never seen anybody, or any news show go so far out of their way to show both sides of a story. I see them all genuinely struggle to form their final opinion. And, by no means, do they always support the progressive side of the issue. If you actually watch the show, count how many times they say, “To be fair” preceding them making a point that sides with the conservative angle. I don’t see that kind of two sided reporting anywhere else. The insulting and elitist part of your comment about college is what I was most annoyed by. Not everybody even has to go to college at all, to become quite intelligent, let alone have the need to specifically major in something to know a lot about it. For one who is enthusiastic and has an intrinsic desire to learn, the only difference between going to college or not, is whether you have a professor tell you which books to read, or if you choose for yourself which books to read. I realize you get that piece of paper at the end of being told what to learn. That only affects your income, not your intelligence. In fact, one who reads and learns just for the sake of learning has to be more knowledgeable than those who go to college just for that paper and learn just enough to pass. I’ll take personal satisfaction over living life just to appease societal norms any day.
