GOP candidates may have gotten a little too comfortable with their “Hillary doesn’t take questions” line.
In an interview with Andrea Mitchell Wednesday afternoon, 2016 candidate Carly Fiorina claimed Hillary Clinton had not answered a question about Iraq, causing Mitchell to correct her.
“Every single Republican candidate has been asked about their vote for the war in Iraq,” Fiorina said. “The one person who’s not been asked because, she won’t answer the question, is Hillary Clinton.”
“She actually was asked and did say last week in New Hampshire that it was a mistake,” Mitchell said, referring to an admittedly rare series of questions Clinton took outside a New Hampshire campaign stop.
Fiorina quickly pivoted. “But she hasn’t said what happened from 2011 when both she and President Obama declared victory in Iraq,” she said. “They declared victory in Iraq in 2011. She was the Secretary of State. No one is declaring victory in Iraq now. What happened?”
