“Cenk Uygur (http://www.twitter.com/cenkuygur) host of The Young Turks discusses Boris Nemtsov, Russian opposition leader and critic of President Vladimir Putin was murdered on Friday Feb. 27, 2015 in what is being called ‘a contract hit’.

Nemtsov was known as someone who committed his life to a more democratic Russia, “and to strong relationships between Russia and its neighbors and partners, including the United States.” according to U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry. He was a vocal critic of President Putin, as well as other important state officials and policies. Some are claiming that this is what lead to the successful attack on his life.

Putin has ordered Russia’s top law enforcement to oversee the investigation and bring those responsible for this brutal killing to justice.”

But is this the symptom of a Russia that is struggling to maintain its democracy in the 21st century? What do you think?
