The international Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles poster and accompanying tweet has caused some outrage, causing it to be taken down and an apology being issued. The poster in question showed the Turtles fleeing an exploding skyscraper – the controversy comes due to the fact that the international release date is September 11th, 2014. However, the American release date is August 8th, 2014. Was this pure coincidence, or a Michael Bay conspiracy? Should the TMNT marketers have known better?
