“On Tuesday night, Gavin McInnes spewed a hateful rant about “Cosmos” host and noted astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. McInnes, who was outed from Vice (which he co-founded), has a sordid history of racist, homophobic and misogynistic comments.

The segment was based on picking apart an interview of Neil deGrasse Tyson done by Chris Hayes. In the interview Tyson joked about his “greatest fear” being that intelligent life would steer clear of making contact with Earth because of the signals we unwittingly put out into space — including past TV and radio programs.
