“Amelia Bonow is in hiding.
She left her apartment here after her address was published online and the death threats began. Her crime? She had an abortion. And after the U.S. House of Representatives voted on Sept. 18 to defund Planned Parenthood, she updated her Facebook status with a proud declaration.
“Hi guys!” it began. “Like a year ago I had an abortion at the Planned Parenthood on Madison Ave., and I remember this experience with a nearly inexpressible level of gratitude.”
She wrote about how “the narrative of those working to defund Planned Parenthood relies on the assumption that abortion is still something to be whispered about.” And how many people still believe that — “if you are a good woman” — you should feel awful if you have one.”*

The mere fact that liberals allow something as serious as abortion to become more and more politiczed speaks more than volumes. Shout Your Abortion??? Really??? ARe you fucking serious??? since when did having an abortion become something to be poud of??? The way liberals treat this issue has evoked in me a contempt and disgust previously reserverd only for tea bagger right wing nutters…the current left movement is very much akin to the radicalized lefties of the 60s who, in their quest to destroy the establishment (which they joined when convienient), did some little good but at what cost??? We need balanced, rational, and intelligent debate about all issues ESPEICLALY ones that deal with the sancity of life. Every person’s body – including womens’ – is their own but nobody can say for sure when life really begins nor when it ends. We do the best we can with the tech of the day but history has more than shown that our “best & brightest” are usually more wrong that right. If anyone needed more proof to show how lunatic fringe the left is becoming, consider the fact that while lefites chant Shout Your Abortion, nowhere are they screaming to allow folks to take any drug they wish. No, the left is right there saying ban all manner of pain and pleasure meds. So then what, we only really care about women’s bodies??? Or is theis really more feminism straining at the existential reins of gender subjugaton at the expense of unborn kids and males being told their new place in contempory “democratically free” Amercia. Either way, as mentioned, it’s disgusting – and one can only hope that the left…and the right…just grow the fuck up…
I agree that Shout your Abortion is a ridiculous idea! I am concerned with the tone of your post. It resembles uncontrollable outrage and immaturity. I identify with the idea of your attitude in this matter, Abortion is a horrible thing!
May I point out that Abortion is legal. It obviously goes against our personal beliefs, but that is matter of Family upbringing and law. Nothing has been done to reverse Roe v. Wade. Which is a Supreme Court decision. That begs the question of: What can be done legally to over rule a SC Decision. That’s a “Constitutional Amendment” which unbeknownst to me has ever been attempted!!
So instead of dealing with an issue in a civilized manner of law. Many Radicalized Right wingers have resolved themselves to games and tricks that discredits their true message of RIGHT TO LIFE. ie. Threats against women with Violence. That points to the Hypocrisy of their intended message, LIFE.
In the true spirit of compromise, I would propose a concept lost on most of us. Give and Take. Why not allow Free Contraception of all types: Depo-Shots and Condoms to anyone over 18, and any parents who feel they wish to obtain it for their children with consent. That way Fewer Abortions will be necessary which makes the Right happy. At the Same time appeasing the Left who wish free choice in the matter.
