“One of the gifts of being young is that particular blend of self-confidence and self-consciousness. Jaden and Willow Smith have managed to turn this form of heady teenage introspection into expression instead of ennui. Willow, the 14-year-old musician whose debut single, “Whip My Hair,” went platinum when she was not yet a teenager, explains that the gift of life is “looking at nature and being, like, ‘Wow, I am so lucky to have a body and to breathe and to be able to look at this.’ ” To which her older brother Jaden, a 16-year-old actor and musician, adds: “And the huge, terrible thing the world would be missing by not expressing yourself.” To that end, both Jaden and Willow, the children of Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith, released new albums this month, including two tracks by Jaden that make their public debut here.” *

  1. I am so let down and disheartened to see two grown adults that have clearly never attempted to have an original thought in their heads, all the while getting their kicks and paycheck belittling a younger generation at least TRYING to make sense of things. To make a complete mockery of those attempting to understand something you are too shallow and vapid to even have the balls to approach is juvenile, jealous and desperate. And speaks volumes about your character. You may mean well, but are searching in all the wrong areas. Take a moment and think. At least give it a shot. if not, you two may just remain cunts for the rest of your lives. Which would be unfortunate. Because no one likes a cunt in the long run. Just a piece of advice.

    Sincerely,
A cunt in reform to some talking heads who”ll never learned

  2. good day and kudos to you both. can’t thank you enough for your not-at-all ignorance-induced criticism of these amazing kids. Ignorance is kind-of a too kind adjective to describe you guys. you are simply jaded and hopelessly ignorant human beings. But guess what else, YOU ARE HOPELESSLY LOST AND SAD. and anyone with a conscience can see that. FYI, fake laughter (ESPECIALLY at another’s expense) is cruel and mean. you think they are the butt of the joke, but your ego has lied to you. the stubborn and ignorant remain stubborn and ignorant. It’s a lesson I have learned. I’m sorry you’ll never be able to understand. Maybe next time?

  3. I have been a fan of this whole community for a while now. I remember watching something when I was 15 and immediately I had an opinion. Almost as if my thoughts didn’t make sense until I heard someone else say them. I have watched for a decade now and I have felt that same way consistently……..with that said…. I am now losing that feeling.
I don’t really understand why there is the need to criticize two teenagers…
I came for the no bullshit and stay for the no bullshit. This time the bullshit was so potent I cringed a couple of times. “It doesn’t mean they’re right…” They are teenagers, (which is clearly pointed out, I know, just bear with me) but why weren’t they right? If that is how they truly feel then how is it wrong. Maybe the answer could be their narcissism or ignorance or that desperate desire to be Jesus or whatever. See, I get it, but who cares since they are just young people. “I’ve been there” and “not hating”, If you’ve been there then how is it comfortable to do this.
I have this feeling like the real story was just to make fun at two young people who, yeah maybe think highly of themselves, maybe too much, maybe their parents are lighting the glittery fireworks out of their asses right now. Or maybe it’s the easy, silly story that makes this job overtly fun.
It’s just that, some people (other 15 year old girl clicking on for the first time) will follow blindly. In this case they would be subconsciously following negativity. Negativity towards people for doing what ever the hell they wanted to do. Having animosity towards a human being for being privileged with a triple shot of vanity, doesn’t make the world go round. This isn’t one of my favorite pieces, (obviously). I just wish people would be more understanding and empathetic. (I know Ana and Cenk are by all means understanding and empathetic, hell, they’ve kept me here for a decade) I just wish it were to a point that videos like this weren’t made. Especially from the no bullshit, trusted news program that keeps the jokes for the judgmental assholes like Bill O’Reilly. Now I know my opinion is just some voice in the crowd that means even less than any of those I’ve mentioned but I just wanted to share.
