I love TYT and watch it pretty much everyday, but I have to say that I think Cenk is a bit biased on this subject. I found that bringing on Reza Aslan to just agree with his point of view was also a bit lame. I would like to ask Cenk, that if he was a woman, would he feel that all religion is on the same level right now? After reading Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s book, I would never be able to agree with that. .
So orthodoz judaism is not the “estatic death cult” that is represented by Islam, according to Harris?
If there was a fortune in oil under Israel, we would have turned them into one by now.

Rarely can one enjoy an interview so genuinely exploratory of it’s subject matter in contemporary media, and I’d like to commend TYT and Cenk Uygur for providing it’s public with this great piece of journalism.
That said, I believe Cenk was somewhat soft on Harris when scrutinizing the validity of some of his arguments. He had him on the ropes a few times and was seemingly unwilling to press further. I appreciate the reasons Cenk might have had to refrain from coming off as aggressive and potentially devolving the discussion or robbing it of its nuance, but, I don’t believe it would have been impossible to accomplish both. I also get the point isn’t to “win” the interview, but there is value in exposing the unworthiness of the most dangerous aspects of very important arguments.
Nonetheless, it was clear that Harris doesn’t really have a comprehensible end game as would be expected of such a fruitless enterprise. By his own admission, consciously and inadvertently, religion being the defining factor of violent acts does not hold against the scrutiny of the scientific method, and this interview exposed that. Although, again it didn’t highlight it.
I so wish I could of watched this live, and I will watch it when it comes out. I was worried about Cenk he seemed really stressed in the post game I could see this topic means a lot to him, and he knows it means a lot to us as well. He tries his best and that is all that counts. I can’t wait to watch it.
