Even The Fault in Our Stars, the famously popular book from John Green was banned in Riverside California- just this week! io9 recently presented a list of 12 beloved books from writers like Neil Gaiman, Maurice Sendak, Roald Dahl, and Kurt Vonnegut and the reasons why they were banned, to varying degrees of ridiculousness.
