Fahrenheit 451, Brave New World, 1984, The Wizard of Oz, even Little Red Riding Hood – these literary classics have all been BANNED for variously dumb reasons. Even The Fault in Our Stars, the famously popular book from John Green was banned in Riverside California- just this week! io9 recently presented a list of 12 beloved books from writers like Neil Gaiman, Maurice Sendak, Roald Dahl, and Kurt Vonnegut and the reasons why they were banned, to varying degrees of ridiculousness. Kim Horcher and special guest Christina Ochoa (Science educator, Actress- Matador) discuss.
